My Project - Part 1

Ever since I was young I can remember that I liked to rearrange my bedroom. Some things don't change! Now I have to rearrange my kid's rooms! We decorated everyone's bedroom when we moved into this house almost 8 years ago. Now some have left and so we are doing more rearranging and decorating changes. Caleb has moved down to the basement into Adam's room, because Adam just isn't around enough to use it and the girls need more space. Caleb had one of the biggest rooms to himself (because he and Tim used to share, but not anymore!) So the work has begun! Here are a couple of pictures of the process of moving Caleb out and repainting more to the girls' taste...(and can I tell you, they DO have an opinion!) But they have helped and everytime I am in their room working, they come in and help and tell me "Thank You" several times. It will be fun to see the transformation. The plan is a room that will move them into their tweens and then go grow up with them along the way...translated, that means I hope we chose a color that will last and all we have to do is change some accessories! We will see!
Above, here is Caleb's room as we were moving him out...

Here are the girls removing wallpaper.

And here is the room, just about ready to paint...

I will keep you "posted" on how the work is progressing!

You amaze me! I talk about things for years. You simply decide you are going to do something and you dig right in. I want to be more like you. I can't wait to see what you end up with. Keep me posted when it's done, so I can come see it in person.

Good luck with the continuing work.

Oh the twins are lucky girls! How fun! Let me know if you need any help. I'm a sucker for re-decorating projects!

Oh my, looks like a lot of work. Looking forward to the finished project. I am afraid poor Katelyn would just have to adapt to a jungle motif with a vase of flowers thrown in or something. Good luck!

I can't wait to see the finished product! When my girls want a new look I tell them to put their pillows at the foot of the bed instead of the head - instant re-do!
