I've Been Tagged!

Not in the gang sense...no grafitti here! My friend tagged me with the following activity...

Here's what you do...

So here is my picture. Actually, I cheated a little. I went to the sixth file and sixth picture, but it wasn't a great one so I went to the next sixth picture and this was it and I loved it. It was Valentine's Day 2006. Everyone came over for dinner and we were all together! We haven't all been together for 18 months so it was a fun picture to see and remember!

So now I tag Romney, Heather, Jessica, Charlie, Dale and Cheryl (do you have separte photo files???). I let Colleen off the hook because of school...Sorry guys, but I only have a couple more readers and they were already tagged! Thanks, Deanna for giving me something to blog about!

A Funny Note

Today I was sitting by Madelyn and I noticed her thumbs. They are long and slender and I said, "Let me see how long your thumb is," and I started to put mine next to hers. She held them up and said, "Look, they're disposable!" (she has been watching "Madagascar 2" and meant "opposable"!)

The Reading Chair

I know that Colleen likes my library chair, but I think I found one that would be better for her! Of course, we could each get our own and get together to read, but it just seemed like the perfect way for Colleen to study. What do you think? (Thanks Colleen for the tip on how to print to pictures!)

I've Learned...

January has come and gone with only one post from me! I was even sick of the same thing popping up everytime I opened my blog! As I searched for some blogging material, I thought back over the month (and the first week of February!) to see what I had done...and I happened on a few thoughts of what I have learned so far this year...

I've learned that it is hard to stick to New Year's resolutions, but if they are important enough to you and you keep at it, you can make them happen! I had a goal to take a picture a day for a year, "Project 365". It's hard to find an interesting picture every day and to remember to take it! Thank goodness for family members who keep asking me what my "picture of the day" is! I thought it would be more of a family album, and although there is family in it, it really is more about my view of the day! I guess more of a photo-journal...we'll have to see where this goes, but I am not ready to give it up just yet...

I've learned that I do believe in life after death...Dads' death reminded me that I know we have an existance after this one and that we have many happy reunions to look forward to...

I've learned that I like cross-country skiing and I don't like downhill skiing and that's ok! I will never be friends with a ski lift and the places I like to ski don't require one!

Heather taught me that we don't set out to ruin our children, but it might still happen! All we can do is give it our best! But I have also learned (listen up, Isaac!) that being in the middle is a pretty good thing! You have people watching out for you on both sides!

I have learned that when I think it is cold and I can't stand it one more day...someone (Adam!) is probably colder...I have never been burned by the cold of a metal washing machine!!!

If you want to get away from the cold, Las Vegas isn't the best place to go...it was warmer, but there really isn't any "fresh" air there!

Homemade chicken soup does wonders for the sick body, but even better things for the soul! It's awesome to have sisters who watch out for you even when you don't know you need it!

And finally, I've learned that when you think you are going to be sick and miserable forever, you realize that there are angels around you (Charlie!) who endure more than you can imagine every day! Thanks for showing me how to smile and laugh and keep getting up! You're the best!

I am looking forward to February and learning a few more things!
